One of the best things about having written six books in a series was the way the characters really grew on me to the extent that they still, to this day, feel like part of my family. Some of them, like Luciano, the dad, were late developers, but when his voice really came clear inside my head around the beginning of the fifth book, I swear I found myself falling head over heels in love with him. <BR/><BR/>Even though he doesn't exist.<BR/><BR/>Nobody ever tells you how much fun writing books can be. Or how completely all-consuming your characters can become.
